Second Annual Craft Social Swap

Venti Mug Rug

Welcome to the second Craft Social Swap! The theme for this swap is Have a Cuppa Cozy. Using your craft of choice, create a mug rug for your swap partner. Mug rugs are large drink coasters or small versions of placemats that hold a cup of tea or coffee with room for a pastry or treat. Check out these ideas.

Keep in mind that we have many international participants in Craft Social, so you may be required to mail your package overseas.

We will solicit pictures of the finished mug rugs and use them to create a photo collage on our Web site.

If you are willing to be a Swap Angel, please let us know.

The last day to sign up for the swap is January 15, 2012 and the items must be mailed by February 1, 2012.

This is a private swap, so you must have the password to access it on Swap-Bot.com.

The password is: cuppacozy

Requirements

  • Rugs must be a minimum of 4″x6″ in size. Larger is OK.
  • Rug must include a flat, stable area on which the mug can rest without the risk of tipping over.
  • Materials used should be washable.

Optional

Include other goodies for your swap partner. These can include tea, coffee, candies, an ATC, beads, etc. The extras shouldn’t exceed $5 (US) in value.

I Heart Craft Social Swap

Greetings socialites!

Diane and I are pleased to announce the I Heart Craft Social Swap, hosted by Swap-bot (@SwapbotNews on Twitter).

Using the template provided, create a handcrafted item to send to your swap partner. You can craft the heart using any material, but it must fit within the size guidelines of the template and be able to fit into (at minimum) a 5.5″ x 4.5″ envelope or mailer. When the swap has ended, we will solicit pictures of the finished hearts and use them to create a photo collage on our Web site.

Keep in mind that we have many international participants in Craft Social, so you may be required to mail your package overseas.

To participate you will need a (free) Swap-bot account and the swap password: socialite

The last day to sign up for the swap is January 31 and the items must be mailed by February 7. As with the ATC Swap last year, you will only have one swap partner. Get started on your heart now, and on February 1 you will be able to get your swap partner’s address by logging in to Swap-bot.

Best regards for a great swap!
