Diane and I are very excited to host our second Craft Social on Twitter. If you aren’t familiar with how a Craft Social works, be sure to read the newly updated About Craft Social page. This month’s social will take place from 3-5 PM, Eastern time. Need to convert to your local time zone? Click here.
Rings & Things has donated FOUR mixed sets of these cool Sugar Skull lampwork beads. Sugar skulls are part of the Mexican Day of the Dead celebrations. These beads aren’t edible, but with 25 of them in each pack, you’ll be set to make all sorts of great Day of the Dead or Goth goodies. Try mixing them with Viva Mexicana beads and findings from Tierracast.
Our second prize sponsor, New Sheer Creations., has donated a kit to make their gorgeous nylon flowers. Nylon flowers were popular in the 1970s and are making a comeback. New Sheer has all the supplies you need as well as online tutorials, videos and a free e-book. The kit contains all the supplies you need to make your own flowers in hot summer colors: nylon fabric and thread, wires, and floral tape. You can also make fluttering creatures like dragonflies and butterflies.
